Interest Groups and Community Action
Arlington AAUW has a book discussion group, twice-monthly International Coffees where we serve as mentors to women connected with their countries’ diplomatic corps, a bridge group, and a group of members who participate with the national AAUW Lobby Corps that regularly visits Capitol Hill.
We mentor girls enrolled in the Arlington Community High School Program through our “Lunch Bunch” program and award scholarships each spring.
We support the Arts in Arlington with our annual Elizabeth Campbell Award for the Advancement of the Arts, and we annually honor an Arlington “Educator of the Year” for his or her work in promoting girls’ education with our annual Springs Awards and luncheon.
We promote opportunity for women through our support of the AAUW Greatest Needs Fund.
