Guest Speaker: Robert “Tito” Vilchez, Coordinator of the Arlington Gang Prevention Task Force. The task force is under the umbrella of The Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force (NVRGTF). He currently serves as the chair of the NVRGTF. In 2013, Mr. Vilchez was selected to join the Central American Community Impact Exchange (CACIE) an initiative formed by the FBI, White House and U.S. State Department.
Details: This event will follow our snowpostponed program regarding human trafficking. Human trafficking is modern slavery. Worldwide, there are more than 21 million incidents of human trafficking each year. Human trafficking produces more than $30 billion in illegal revenues and is now the second largest criminal enterprise. Northern Virginia is a hub of human trafficking due to Dulles International Airport and Route I-95 as well as being a major metropolitan area.
